Golden Retriever rescues her family from their burning home.
Pet companions not only bring us love and joy and the pleasure of their company, but in some cases, they also watch over us, even protecting our lives.
That is the basis for our story today:
On May 24th, at 4 am, in Bakersfield, California, when Lulu, the family dog detected the house was on fire, she quickly sprang into action.

According to a Bakersfield Fire Department Facebook post, Lulu noticed the flames outside the home, and began waking up her family before those flames spread into the home.
Her fast action prevented them from being trapped, and everyone got out safely.
Unfortunately, the fire was so big, it took the fire department four hours to extinguish it, and the damage to the home was severe.
But the fire department praised Lulu for her life saving "heroic efforts." It is a wonderful reminder that sometimes our superheroes are already very much a part of our lives.
