On January 26th, 2026, during a colossal winter storm, the Ohio Department of Transportation called for a snowplow operator to clear a path to rush a baby to Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
Joe Estes answered the call and led an ambulance as he cleared a 15-mile path to pick up baby Bryson at his home and then led them to the hospital, all at peak speed.

The snow was so heavy, and the visibility so poor, that Joe's peak speed was 30-35 mph and the ambulance could barely see Joe's snowplow in front of it.
Without Joe, the roads would have been impassable, and the paramedics credited Joe for playing a crucial role in rescuing baby Bryson, who is now doing well.

As for Joe, he told ABC News, "The real heroes are and always will be the folks at the hospital... I'm just a truck driver just plowing away. Great things can happen when we all work together."
