William, 13 of Fenley Nevada, saw his mother reeling from a recent divorce and financial stress and he knew she desperately needed a car.

His mom Krystal, now a single mom had him, his sister and brother to support. And the situation became dire when she lost her job.

A woman listed her 1999 Chevrolet Metro at a low price, and he contacted her, offering to trade his Xbox and his savings for her car.

At first, she hesitated, but then accepted his offer.

To surprise his mom, William and she agreed she would park the car on his driveway.

He then asked Krystal to come outside. When he said he bought the car for her, it was too much for her to believe.

She laughed until she met the seller, an adult woman, ready to give her a test drive.

"I lost it. I bawled so bad. I was just like, 'There's no way,'" Krystal later told CBS of this wonderful gift from her son.

"You're my mom. I wanted to help," William reassured her.
