Dog loses human companion to fatal traffic accident, is adopted by a kindly pub manager.
Last September, The Leaping Wolf pub in Wolverhampton, England was packed with cheering fans watching a major soccer match on TV, when they were joined by a tiny dog.
That tiny dog was 2-year-old Rex the Shih Tzu, who fled from inside a car and into the bar after a car accident took the life of his human companion.
The frightened pup didn't know what else to do.

Dan Morris, The Leaping Wolf manager told British news agency SWNS, "Everyone said there was a dog running around and we had no idea where he came from."
After finding Rex, Dan took him to a veterinarian to try to locate his human companion and to be sure he was healthy, which he was.
But that was also when Dan learned about the tragic car accident, and that Rex was homeless. "So we decided to adopt him."
Now Rex frequents the pub mingling with its patrons, and receiving belly rubs.
"He has been great," Dan said. "All the customers love him and even bring treats to the pub to give him."
And Dan also gave Rex a job. He made him a bouncer. "We don't know how he knows which guests are up to no good, but he's usually right," said Dan.
