Mo holds many of the women's world swimming records for people in her age bracket, yet she didn't swim regularly until she was 60.

Until then, her exercise was primarily walking in the Hollywood Hills near her home. But Mo's story is much more than swimming and one I think you will enjoy very much.

(Story continues from "Read More")

Many World War 2 generation women got married, had children and supported their husband's careers.

But Mo, with her love of books, theater and opera had other ideas, and earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in social work from the prestigious University of Chicago.

She then moved to Los Angeles and used her education to serve humanity.

For the next 40-years, Mo worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District, where she touched the lives of many children and later worked for the National Council of Jewish Women.

There she helped create childcare programs for working women, and at the renowned Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, she helped create a foster grandparent program.

Today, she is an avid swimmer, who trains four times a week at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center in Pasadena, but she also has other interests.

Mo is a docent at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art sharing facts and stories during her hour-long walks with visitors.

She also leads tours of Los Angeles' famed Union Station, the largest railroad passenger terminal in the Western U.S. and famous for its scenes in movies, TV shows and ads.

If there are secrets to a happy life, as Mo has shown, they are staying active and doing what you love.
