Hyvon Ngetich: Turning seemingly certain defeat into victory.

During the 2015 Austin, Texas Marathon, Hyvon (pronounced "Yvonne") of Kenya, led the women runners for nearly 26-miles.

Then about 150 yards from the finish line, she collapsed from exhaustion. What happened next is amazing:

Refusing medical assistance, Hyvon began to crawl forward.

The crowd was stunned, and then as she kept crawling, cheered her loudly as she crossed the finish line.

Prior to her collapse, Hyvon had been so far in front, that she still finished in third place.

The race director John Conley was deeply moved by what she had done and he raised her cash prize.

"I have never heard our crowds that loud cheering for an athlete like that," he told CBS Evening News. "She is the defining moment of that weekend for us."
