Hamid Slimi
Hamid is the imam of the Sayeda Khadija Centre, a mosque in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
When he heard a nearby Catholic church had been vandalized, he went to that church and was shocked as Father Camillo Lando showed him what a vandal had done.
"It was a very bad scene," said Hamid.
"The guy who did it ripped pages out of the Bible. He broke the alter. He threw the cross. When I saw this I thought it was pure injustice. It was just wrong."
The action Hamid took next will touch your heart.

Hamid told worshippers in the mosque what happened to the church and urged them to donate.
In one day, those Muslim worshippers raised nearly $5,000.
Hamid presented the check to Father Lando and the church board.
"I told them, this is what any Muslim would do," said Hamid.
Father Lando said, "I will tell my congregation that it was really a beautiful and generous gesture on their part.
"And also it’s an act of confidence and understanding. We are walking together in this community. We keep our faith, and we have to honour and respect people of other faiths."
This compassionate donation was a beautiful act of brotherhood, from one group of worshippers to another.
