Abandoned at the airport, a precious goldendoodle finds a loving home.
Tied to a metal structure inside the Las Vegas airport, this 2-year-old goldendoodle watched as his human companion left a JetBlue ticket counter, heading to her departure gate.
He had been abandoned.
According to police, when officers approached the woman and asked her why she left the dog behind, she told them the airline would not allow her to take the dog.

But in fact, she had not completed the paperwork required for him to travel. Officers arrested her for animal abandonment, and other charges.

The airline staff and law enforcement looked after the dog at the airport until animal protection services took him to a shelter.
That shelter, Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas called his pet companion, who hung up on them. They lovingly kept him and called him JetBlue.
"While that part of his story is heartbreaking, what has followed has been nothing short of extraordinary," the shelter posted on Facebook.
After the Las Vegas police posted his story and photos on social media:
Over 2,700 people from all over the world applied to adopt JetBlue, Danielle Roth, who runs the shelter, told The Washington Post.
Now, JetBlue has a new home. Las Vegas police officer Skeeter Black, one of the responding officers who rescued JetBlue, adopted him.
"We're just very excited to introduce...the new dog to our family," Skeeter said at a Las Vegas adoption event. "We're going to enjoy him. He's going to be very much loved."
