3 teens race into fiery inferno, save sleeping couple.
At 1:20 am on New Year's Day, three teens were driving in Atkinson, Maine when they noticed the sky had an orange glow.
"It looked like a sunset, and we drove towards it," Colby Simmons, 16, told The Washington Post.
When they arrived, they saw, "It was a house on fire," said Robert Weymouth, 16. And they took action:

Robert and his cousin Kaleb Weymouth, 14 called 911 while Colby pounded on the front door.
Receiving no answer, Colby and the other boys went into the unlocked two-story home, adjoining a big blazing barn in which there were no animals.
But the barn blaze was spreading into the house, where they found a man sleeping soundly. They awoke him and told him his house is burning.
He hurriedly rescued his wife, who was sleeping elsewhere in the house.
The couple quickly dressed and the boys helped them grab some essential belongings, including medication, and guided them out of the house.
"If we gave it another 20 minutes, the whole house would have been on fire where they were sleeping," Colby said. "I'm just happy we got them out safely and nobody was harmed."
After firefighters arrived, the boys remained, staying with the couple for another three hours.

"What they did was very heroic, and without a doubt, it probably saved both of those people's lives," Brian Gaudet, chief of the local fire department told The Post.
"I believe if the boys didn't act when they acted, it could have been a different outcome."
The boys were thankful they acted. As for their advice, Kaleb replied, "Don't hesitate. Do the right thing."
