Among Jim’s street patients are “runaway kids, 85-year-olds, pregnant women,” and anyone else he finds in need.
Jim works the streets, but now also offers a mobile medical unit and drop-in centers, so that as many homeless people as possible can be helped.

In addition, as patient advocates, Jim and his team help the homeless receive medical insurance, housing and other services to make their lives better.
Why do this? Jim told CNN, “We should take pride in when we can actually treat [homeless] people the way we want to be treated.”
